  1. NOT [Between bank & centre weeds in main pond (open water) ]
  2. Adjacent to weir in main pond within new typha angustifolia
  3. There was a scum of empty midge pupae around the pond.

    The pond level had dropped 150 mm in 6 days.

    There were 6 ducks on the pond.

  4. NOT Downstream from pond, above first "weir"
  5. NOT [Hedge pond = now a patch of mud with no water]
  6. NOT [Pond at northern extreme of site]
